OIL & GAS (ONSHORE/ OFFSHORE)

DYNAMIC SIMULATION STUDY FOR THE CAUSE – ROOT ANALYSIS OF THE REMOTE SEPARATOR ON THE AKAL-H SATELLITE PLATFORM.

CONTEXT OF THE PROJECT

As a result of the project “Cause – Root Analysis of the remote Separator in the Akal-H Satellite Platform”, BFC Consulting carried out the simulation in stationary regime of the separator of remote oil FA-1102 in the Akal-H Satellite Platform to subsequently develop a model of Dynamic Simulation of process for evaluation of scenarios of risk derived from the Cause – Root Analysis (CRA).

OBJECTIVE

Develop a model of stationary simulation of the remote separator FA-1102 of the Akal-H satellite Platform with the purpose of updating the process flow diagrams (PFD) and dispose of information to develop a model of simulation in dynamic regime, which will be used to establish and evaluate risk scenarios derived from the CRA.

TECHNICAL CONTEXT

Implement a stationary and dynamic simulation model through the use of specialized commercial software PRO II and Dynsim for the remote separator FA-1102 of the Akal-H satellite platform.

Risk scenarios / interest critics were simulated dynamically to evaluate the response of the process and its control according to the significant deviations that could result from such risk scenarios. It should be mentioned that such risk scenarios were derived from the Cause – Root Analysis (CRA) and served as support in the decision making intended to support such analysis.

RESULTS OBTAINED

The dynamic regime model precisely supported decision making intended to support the scenarios derived from the Cause – Root Analysis (CRA) developed as a result of the accident in the remote separator FA-1102 of the Akal-H satellite Platform.
